International Student Admissions

The University of Missouri-Columbia follows national guidelines to determine international degree equivalency. The evaluation is based on the guidelines established by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers. Graduate eligibility is determined after a complete application is received and a thorough review is made of an applicant’s educational credentials.

MU encourages applicants for online programs/courses to apply at least three months prior to the semester they plan to enroll. For admission to the Graduate School at MU, an applicant must have earned at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a college or university recognized by a regional accrediting agency. Colleges and universities from outside the United States must be recognized as degree granting institutions by their country's ministry of education.
